A Gauteng Wedding Surrounded by Nature
Cradle Valley is a Gauteng wedding venue that feels like a hidden escape. Nestled in the Cradle of Humankind area, it offers sweeping gardens, peaceful surroundings, and a sense of being far removed from the rush of everyday life – while still being easily accessible for couples planning Gauteng weddings.
Tarryn and Wade chose to keep everything in one place, which helps makes for a smoother, more relaxed wedding day. Morning preparations took place at Cradle Valley, allowing everyone to ease into the day without any rushing between locations. There was a quiet excitement in the air, laughter, deep breaths, and that sense of anticipation that builds before a big moment.

A Meaningful Ceremony at Cradle Valley Chapel
The ceremony was held at the Cradle Valley Chapel, an intimate and serene space that perfectly suited Tarryn and Wade’s personalities. Their ceremony was emotional in the best way – sincere vows, a few happy tears, and plenty of smiles exchanged between family and friends. They incorporated their precious Jack Russell fur babies as ring bearers, a sweet and personal touch that had everyone "awwwing".
Just as the ceremony wrapped up, the weather reminded us that this was a true Gauteng summer wedding. The day had been humid and sunny, with those dramatic clouds slowly rolling in. A classic Gauteng thunderstorm was on its way – but thankfully, it arrived after the ceremony, adding just enough excitement without stealing the moment.

Photos in the Cradle Valley Gardens
Knowing the rain was coming, we made a quick but calm shift to the timeline to capture portraits in the Cradle Valley gardens before the first drops fell. (Shoutout to the coordinator, Beauty, who really helped with this change!) And honestly? This is where the magic really happened.
The gardens are lush, green, and beautifully maintained, making them ideal for couples who want a natural backdrop without needing to travel elsewhere. Tarryn and Wade were absolute naturals in front of the camera – relaxed, a little goofy, affectionate, and completely focused on each other. These are the moments we love most as a Gauteng wedding photographer and videographer, real connection, gentle prompts, and letting the couple simply be.

A Romantic Cradle Valley Wedding Reception
The Cradle Valley wedding reception was everything a romantic reception should be. Soft fairylights covered the venue, instantly creating a warm, intimate atmosphere as the evening set in. One of the standout features of this venue is how beautiful the reception space already is – something future brides will definitely appreciate.
A well-designed reception area can significantly reduce décor costs, and Cradle Valley truly shines here. With the lighting and natural surroundings doing most of the work, the focus stayed exactly where it should be: celebrating Tarryn and Wade.
