Hi! We're Chloé and Emile.
Two musicians/wedding photographers/videographers. We met while studying music at the University of Pretoria, and quickly became inseparable. After 5 years together, we had our own dream wedding in 2022. We share a love for music (obviously), TV shows, movies, walks, cheesecake and good coffee. We're best friends and each other's biggest cheerleaders in everything we do.
When I started my photography business in 2020 after years of unofficial photos shoots with my sisters, pets and anyone who would stand still long enough, it was to no one's surprise that Emile joined soon after as a videographer. We quickly discovered a love for documenting weddings- the romance, the relationships, and the uniqueness of each wedding and each couple. And so, at the end of 2023, The Vermeulens Photo & Film was officially launched.

Our approach to weddings is natural, romantic and deeply personal. We focus on documenting your wedding in a way that feels effortless and true to you, preserving not just how it looked, but how it felt. We combine a mixture of direction with a documentary style, allowing moments to unfold naturally wherever possible, while still providing enough direction to help you feel comfortable in front of the camera and remain in the moment.
