A Romantic Wedding at Oakfield Farm: A Day Full of Love, Laughter & Lush Gardens


From the very first moment of this dreamy wedding at Oakfield Farm, you could feel the magic in the air. A golden autumn morning, sunlight softly streaming through the trees, and a gentle breeze carrying the scent from the rose gardens. It was one of those perfectly timed Gauteng days—mild, romantic, and made for weddings.


Right from the morning preparations at Oakfield Farm, everything felt relaxed and full of anticipation. The energy was joyful, a mix of happy nerves and excitement, as the bride did her touch ups. The glam squad from Nikki’s Beautique absolutely nailed Nasreen's stunning glam—effortless, glowing makeup and soft, romantic hair that perfectly matched the elegant, floral aesthetic of the day.


Of course, none of the stunning florals could go unmentioned. The team from Crio Re outdid themselves with pink and white blooms that transformed the reception hall of Oakfield into a floral fairytale. From the ceremony to the reception, their work created a beautiful ambience.


The couple's first look was simply magical. Tucked away in Oakfield’s rose gardens, the couple shared a quiet, emotional moment before the bustle of the day began. It’s hard to put into words just how sweet it was. A few deep breaths and a whole lot of love. As a Gauteng wedding photographer, these intimate in-between moments are everything.


We wandered through the Oakfield Farm gardens for their couple shoot, and honestly, even on our third visit here, every corner is a photographer's dream. Rolling lawns, archways covered in greenery, and that soft autumn light filtering through the trees—it was like walking through a painting. The couple was relaxed and focused on each other as we explored. That authenticity? That’s what makes a shoot sing.


As the day flowed into the Oakfield wedding reception at the Homestead Venue, the couple made their grand entrance and the celebrations began. The room was warm and elegant, filled with family and friends, and the amazing food by EAT Catering. Speeches were heartfelt, and the couple joyful and we felt so lucky to be surrounded by so much love.
