A Wedding at The Barn @ Redstone: A Dreamy Celebration Overlooking Hartebeespoort Dam


Imagine saying "I do" surrounded by the Magaliesberg mountains, your friends and family, and the stunning Hartebeespoort dam shimmering in the background. Sounds like a fairy tale, right? That’s exactly what this gorgeous couple experienced at their wedding at The Barn @ Redstone. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this was going to be a magical day full of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

The Morning Prep at The Barn @ Redstone


We kicked off the day at The Barn @ Redstone's vibey groom's suite, where Kevin and his groomsmen shared some laughs to ease the nerves!

After capturing some shots of Kevin preparing to meet his bride, we headed over to the bridal suite where Nicola and her bridal party were getting ready. The bridal suite at the Barn @ Redstone is a cozy mix of vintage and modern with plenty of natural light pouring through the windows. It was so fun capturing the excitement, nerves, and joy as the bride slipped into her dress and shared special moments with her family. It’s always a special feeling to witness the bride and her loved ones getting ready for one of the biggest days of their lives!


A Ceremony With a View


The ceremony took place at The Barn @ Redstone’s chapel, with its breathtaking views. Perched high above the Hartebeespoort dam, the chapel offers a panoramic vista over the surrounding landscape, and Kevin was not the only one to shed a tear as Nicola walked down the aisle with her dad. Despite the December heat, the open doors of the chapel let in a lovely breeze as the couple were married.

After the ceremony, we raced against the oncoming rain for a couple photoshoot in the fields of purple flowers. The Hartebeespoort dam was the perfect backdrop as the storm rolled in behind the couple as they stood hand in hand, soaking in the beauty of the day. The scenery at The Barn @ Redstone is beautiful, and we couldn’t have asked for better lighting. Every frame was filled with love, joy, and natural beauty — I think it’s safe to say that these two are absolutely meant to be!


After taking some family photos indoor as the rain let up, we had the couple for some more photos, this time heading back to the empty chapel, where Kevin and Nicola shared a beautiful moment sharing their personal vows that they had written for one another. There were no dry eyes- and yes, that includes the photo/video team!


A Reception Filled With Love and Laughter


The reception at was just as stunning as the rest of the day. With its elegant white and green color scheme, the room felt light and fresh. Bryan Calvert’s floral designs really brought everything together, and the soft glow of candles made the atmosphere feel so warm and intimate. The guests' names were beautifully written on ribbons ties around their glasses, giving each person a personal touch as they sat down to enjoy the delicious meal.


The evening was filled with heartfelt speeches, emotional dances, and, of course, a lot of dancing. Rowan Louw had the music on point, and it wasn’t long before the dance floor was packed, with everyone celebrating the newlyweds. What I love most about weddings like this is the way the couple’s personalities shine through — you could feel the joy and connection they shared with their families and friends.


A Wedding That Will Be Remembered


From start to finish, this Hartebeespoort wedding was an absolute dream. The stunning venue, the couple’s love, and the amazing vendors all came together to create something truly magical. It was such an honor to capture these memories for the couple, and I’m so grateful to have been part of their day.
