Durban North Wedding at The Winchester Venue
Diveshan and Natania got married on a January Sunday in their home city of Durban, South Africa. They had a beautiful traditional Hindu ceremony at The Winchester in Durban North.
As a Gauteng wedding photographer and videographer, this was the first Durban wedding we've had the opportunity to capture, as well as our first Hindu wedding ceremony. Div and Natania are the sweetest couple, and we gelled with them from our first meeting. Their day was heartfelt, filled with family and meaning, and in true Durban fashion, HOT. Despite the heat and humidity, Natania looked breathtaking in her custom outfit and hair by Kogie Govender and her makeup by Neil Ramautar of BG Aesthetics, Durban. The gold and green decor perfectly complimented the understated elegance of The Winchester.
After their ceremony, the couple and their guests enjoyed lunch together and heartfelt speeches by family before heading out for photos. Our original plan to take photos at the Umhlanga Pier had to be abandoned after we realised how crowded it was. Natania's family suggested we head to the Japanese Gardens for photos, and it turned out to be a great suggestion! With the cloudy skies and tropical atmosphere, the elegant gardens and couple had a magical atmosphere.
We had a wonderful time with Diveshan and Natania and their lovely families. If you're planning your own Durban wedding or a wedding anywhere in South Africa, and looking for a wedding photographer and videographer, we'd love to hear from you!
