Wedding at @Boshoek
Bernice and Aaron’s Wedding at @Boshoek is one you’ll want to soak in slowly. Set in the mountains near Lydenburg, Mpumalanga, their day was filled with meaning and celebration.
Beautifully styled and intentional, the day centred around faith and family.
A Mountain Wedding in Mpumalanga
Surrounded by mountains and wide open skies, @Boshoek offers couples a peaceful escape and a setting that feels both rustic and modern. For Bernice and Aaron, it was the perfect place to celebrate their story.
Morning preparations took place at @Boshoek, allowing the day to unfold gently. The anticipation and excitement of the couple and their families was tangible as they dressed and got ready for their big moment.
A Faith-Filled Ceremony at the @Boshoek Chapel
The lovely ceremony was held in the @Boshoek chapel. Bernice and Aaron’s vows were deeply personal, words spoken with intention and so much love.
One of the most meaningful moments of the day was their first kiss- a moment they waited two years for. Their shared faith was woven through every part of the ceremony, creating an atmosphere that felt sacred as they overlooked the chapel view.
Mountain-Top Wedding Portraits (and a Little Rain)
After the ceremony, we headed up the mountain for their couple session, and while the day had been sunny and warm, the weather had other plans. As we reached the top, the rain began to fall.
Bernice and Aaron were absolute troopers. Instead of letting it dampen the moment, they embraced it, laughing together and staying fully present. These mountain-top portraits, taken in the rain, ended up being some of the most authentic and emotional images of the day.
From a photography and videography perspective, @Boshoek offers incredible variety, especially for couples who love nature and dramatic landscapes. Even with unpredictable weather, it was truly special.
A Joyful @Boshoek Wedding Reception
The @Boshoek wedding reception was filled with warmth, colour, and celebration. The décor featured soft pastel tones, with each bridesmaid wearing her own unique colour, a detail that added personality and a sense of individuality while still feeling beautifully cohesive.
The emotional highlights continued well into the evening. Aaron surprised Bernice by singing a song he had written just for her, a moment that left very few dry eyes in the room. This was followed by a fun, joy-filled father-daughter dance between Bernice and her dad, which perfectly captured the spirit of the day.
